Transactions 

Definition

Classification of postings according to business views, for example, enter invoice, post goods receipt.

The transactions control the flow of data between the individual application components.

Use

The business transactions transferred to the special purpose ledgers from the other application components or external systems are transferred to the Integration Manager (the posting interface) using transactions.

Business transactions that are processed in the same way are summarized in groups.

The transactions are grouped (for example, all Materials Management transactions) so that you do not have to assign specific transactions to your ledgers. You simply assign the key of the transaction group to a ledger, and the system automatically assigns the relevant transactions.

You can select a ledger to be posted to using a specific transaction or specific group of transactions. You can restrict the selection of specific ledgers further by defining ledger selection conditions.
