Procedure documentation Creating a Vacancy in Organizational Management Locate the document in its SAP Library structure

Prerequisites

The Recruitment component must be integrated with the Organizational Management component.

There are two ways in which you can create vacancies in Organizational Management.

Creating a vacancy in Expert Mode

  1. From the SAP Easy Access screen, choose Human resources ® Organizational Management ® Expert mode ® Position.
  2. The Maintain Position screen appears.

  3. Enter a position in the Position field.
  4. Note

    Select Current plan for the Plan version field.

  5. Select the infotype Vacancy and the status active and choose This graphic is explained in the accompanying text.
  6. The Add Vacancy screen appears.

  7. If necessary, overwrite the validity of the vacancy.
  8. Choose This graphic is explained in the accompanying text.
  9. Note

    In the Standard system, the to be occupied field is already selected.

    The Create Vacancy screen of the Recruitment component appears.

  10. Enter your data as required.
  11. Note

    The system calculates the staffing percentage from the percentage approved, the percentage reserved, and the staffing percentage.

Creating a Vacancy in the Organizational Plan

You can create vacancies in Organizational Management as follows:

  1. From the SAP Easy Access menu, choose Human Resources ® Organizational Management ® Organizational plan ® Organization and staffing ® Change.
  2. The Organization and Staffing screen appears.

  3. From the object type list, choose Position.
  4. The Find Position dialog window appears.

  5. Enter the search data and choose This graphic is explained in the accompanying text.
  6. All positions found that correspond to the search data you entered appear in the object list.

  7. Select the position you want from the object list by double-clicking on it.
  8. Detailed information on the selected position is displayed.

  9. To set the position to vacant, choose the Basic data tab page.
  10. In the Staffing status field, select Vacancy to be occupied.
  11. Choose This graphic is explained in the accompanying text.

Result

You have created the desired vacancy in the Organizational Management component.

Note

Any vacancies that you created in Organizational Management are marked with a P in the Maintained in OM field of the Vacancy view (V_T750X). You can edit these vacancies in Recruitment. The following fields are exceptions to this:
