Definition

This is a person who, by means of a job application, expresses interest in finding employment or in changing his or her present employment relationship. Applicants include:

Applicants from outside your company who express an interest in finding employment with you. External applicants may also be previous employees of your company.

Employees who apply for a (vacant) position within your company.

You can also differentiate between the following types of applicants:

These are applicants who apply to your company without reference to a specific advertisement or vacant position.

Applicants who have responded to an Advertisement published by your company.

Use

The applicant is the central object in the Recruitment component. The applicant is a special element of the Applicant Administration and Applicant Selection components.
