Definition
Retired and pre-retired employees are also entitled to a payment to the vacation allowance, which is called 14th month allowance.
There are two kinds of 14th month allowance, equivalent to the kind of pension these employees receive (pension advance or complement payment):
Use
This allowance is paid only once per year and uses only the fixed component of the remuneration as basis for calculating its amount.
Pre-retired employees can be either employees with reduced activities or employees are not active anymore. In case of reduced activities, the 14th month allowance is processed similarly to the vacation allowance of an active employee. If the employee is not active anymore, the allowance is processed similarly to that of a retired employee.
