Customizing Reconciliation 
Before you can use the reconciliation tool in Grants Management (GM), you need to create a data slice and reconciliation rule for the process.
You need to create at least one data slice and one reconciliation rule.
A. Data Slices
To create a data, slice proceed as follows:
1. Go to the Public Sector Management (PSM) part of the Implementation Guide (IMG) and choose General Settings for Public Sector Management ® Information System: Reconciliation ® Define Reconciliation Data Slice.
2. Refer now to the online documentation for this IMG step, which contains detailed information on what to do.
3. When you have finished, save your entries.
B. Reconciliation Rules
To create a reconcilation rule, proceed as follows:

C. Subtotal Groups
Use this step to maintain lists of subtotal texts to be used when deriving additional breakdowns in reconciliation data slices. The documentation for the IMG step contains details of what to do here.
Once you have defined the slice(s), rule(s), and subtotal groups you need, reconciliation customizing is complete. You can now carry out reconciliation processing.
