Drag and Drop
You use this function to move some of the data in a recipe object using drag and drop within the same object or to transfer it to other screen areas and objects. This simplifies recipe editing because it is easy to copy and move data.
Recipe Management uses ALV grid control functions (see ALV Grid Control).
One
function is
Drag & Drop with
the ALV Grid Control.

General drag and drop functions in Recipe Management:
· You can copy, move, or replace objects
· You can change the layout and arrangement of columns
· You can move objects between the three areas in the Workbench (application, navigation, and detail area)
· You can also transfer an object to a table in the application area even if no row exists. The system creates the row automatically.
· If you drag an object to a table in the application area and drop it in an empty row, this row is filled. If you drop the object in a row that already contains data, the system moves this row down and inserts the object (for example, the data) in the row that comes before it.
· If you move a row in a table in the application area, the system displays a red line at the place where you would insert the row if you were to release the mouse button.
· You can drag objects from a hit list to the navigation area in the relevant information system. If you drag the objects to the detail area, they are only displayed in the navigation area.
The following table displays the most important drag and drop functions for organizing work and creating and editing recipes and formulas quickly:

All process elements |
Navigation or detail area |
Application area: Tab page: Equip. Requirements |
Key process element data can only be transferred within an object. The key field of the process element is copied (for example, stage 10) and the system generates a new item number automatically. If a process element has lower-level elements, these are not copied. You have to enter the description and equipment class yourself. |
|
Stage |
Application area: Tab page: Process |
Navigation area: Stage folder |
Dependent formulas and all other elements of the stage are also copied. Note that when using drag and drop you select the stage and drag it and then check the result. If drag and drop fails, the system only moves the row. |

Application area: Tab page: Equip. Requirements |
You can replace the content of an equipment requirement if no description, class, or origin exists for an equipment requirement. If data exists, the building block for the equipment requirement is inserted in a new row. If short texts, long texts, document assignments, or process parameters exist, you can decide if you really want to replace the entry. If you decide not to replace it, the system cancels the replacement.

Navigation or detail area: A dependent operation |
You can only add a material to a dependent operation within the current object (that is, to a recipe, process, or building block of a stage). The material can only be assigned once. The Input and Output tab page is updated automatically. |

Application area: Tab page: Input and Output |
Application area: A different item on the Input and Output tab page |
You can move several material or substance items to the table at the same time.
You have to confirm your changes (for example, item numbers) before the system implements the changes. |

You can copy several items at once. The system copies all item data. The context of the items remains the same, that is, an input item stays an input item. It is only possible to drop objects in the detail area. You have to select the row(s) before dragging it. The items are copied and not moved. |
|
|
Additional rules: · You cannot use drag and drop to transfer streams · A primary output is transferred as a secondary output when you use drag and drop · All entries transferred using drag and drop are inserted at the end of the table in the target formula with a new item number. · All alternative items are transferred together with the leading item when you use drag and drop. |
