Function documentation Equipment Requirement Locate the document in its SAP Library structure

Use

You use this function to map the equipment requirement data in a recipe.

Each recipe contains equipment data (for example, boiler, mixer, furnace) with certain requirements (size, speed, and so on). You can assign equipment requirements at the recipe, process, process stage, process operation, and process action levels.

Prerequisites

·        You have defined the equipment requirement categories and assigned the views (see Customizing for Recipes, Configure Equipment Requirements activity).

·        You have defined classes of the class type 019. Choose Cross-Application Components ® Classification System ® Master Data ® Classes.

Features

·        A separate tab page is provided for creating and editing equipment requirements.

·        You create a completely new equipment requirement, or use a copy of an equipment requirement building block. You can make changes to this copy.

·        Other components of equipment requirements include documents, process parameters, and properties with values assigned of an appropriate class. You can enter or edit this information in a separate area on the screen.

·        The system can number the equipment requirement entries automatically. If you only enter the descriptions of the equipment requirements and confirm your entries, the system assigns the item numbers in intervals of ten. The sort concept only applies within a process element entry and starts the numbering again for each recipe stage. If you insert a row between two existing rows, the system calculates the number and inserts it (first in intervals of ten, then in intervals of five, and then from five downwards).

·        The system can copy the process hierarchy automatically to simplify data entry. To do this, choose This graphic is explained in the accompanying text with the quick info Copy Process Hierarchy in the toolbar.

·        You can copy dependent equipment requirements (that is, those created directly in the recipe or in building blocks) and drag them to an equipment requirement building block using drag and drop and vice versa.

·        The system contains an information system for the equipment requirements.

Note

This information system contains an extended search function. You can search for classes here but only those with the class type 019. If you do not choose a characteristic for the class, the system returns all equipment requirements that belong to the class. You can also search for properties of the class irrespective of the class itself.
