Disposal Processing for Existing
Materials
This process describes how disposals are processed when a material that already exists in the system becomes waste.

An existing material can become waste in the following cases, for example:
· The material comes from a shortfall batch.
· The material constitutes goods for which the shelf life date has expired.
· Only some of the material has been used and the rest has become waste (cans of paint, for example).
You have made the necessary settings in the Disposal Processing section of Customizing for Waste Management.
...
1. You create a new material for the waste, since a material for wastes cannot be assigned values (see Editing Materials for Wastes). You can use the existing material as a template.
2. You enter all additional basic data and master data using the material that you created for the waste.
3. With the material that you created for the waste, you also execute disposal processing as for other wastes (see Disposal Processing: Execution). To fill the origin of the waste, you can enter the original material and other data in the entry documents (see Entering the Waste Origin).
See Disposal Processing: Execution.
