Process Action
A more detailed description of how the production process is executed (see process action as per ISA, S88).
Process actions are therefore smaller activities in the process that are combined to carry out the process operation.
To create a process action, you have the following options:
● You create the process action as a dependent object in the recipe, the process building block, the stage building block, or the operation building block.
● You create the process action as an independent building block. You can then use this building block as a copy template and copy it to a recipe, a process building block, stage building block, or operation building block.
A process action can consist of several process instructions and contains one equipment requirement only. The chronological order of the actions is determined by their relationships to each other.
Examples for process actions in the production of PVC are add water, add catalysts, and heat to 60 °C (see Process Model).
