Process Differentiated Business Partner
Data 
Use
You can use the function to differentiate, or define different values for the following business partner data, in order to reflect different points of view:
· Business partner relationships
· Ratings
Differentiation takes place in specific business partner roles, and on the basis of differentiation criteria.
Procedure
You are in the Maintain Business Partner screen and have selected a business partner role for the business partner to be processed that allows business partner data to be differentiated.

1. Choose the Differentiation pushbutton.
You are in the processing screen of the differentiated business partner data.
2. Enter the differentiation criterion by which the business partner data is to be differentiated in the differentiation field.
You can enter your own differentiation criteria or assign existing differentiation criteria, depending on the Customizing settings.
You can use the Assigned Differentiation Criteria pushbutton to display all the differentiation criteria for the business partner.
3. Process the business partner attributes assigned to the differentiation criterion on the Additional Information, Ratings, Customer Segment, and Bank Analyzer Characteristics (if you use Bank Analyzer) tab pages.
When differentiating business partner relationships, enter the differentiation criterion in the business partner relationship category.
Result
You have processed business partner attributes for one specific differentiation criterion. You can access only the data you have entered for further processing by choosing the Differentiation pushbutton, and the assigned Differentiation Criterion.
You can enter further differentiation criteria with different values for the attributes Additional Information, Ratings, and Differentiated Attributes (Customer Segment).
The values that you enter directly on the Additional Information and Ratings tab pages in the Maintain Business Partner screen are not affected by the differentiation, and can be processed independently of the differentiated business partner data.
