Web Applications in the People-Centric User
Interface
MIC users perform their tasks in the different Web applications for MIC that are realized in the People-Centric User Interface. Only the power user (see Roles and Authorizations Concept) is authorized to make Customizing settings and perform administrative functions in the SAP GUI.
A Web application can be called up by different tasks. Which fields are ready for input in the Web application depends on the task being processed. For information about which Web application is called up by which task, see Delivered Tasks.
The Web applications are built according to the same principle as the People-Centric UI application window. For general documentation, see The People-Centric UI Application Window. Note that MIC has the following special features:
· When you call up a Web application from the task list, the data from the task is automatically shown. When you call up a task from the navigation area, you need to select the data using the search area.
· With MIC, there is no default search query My Favorites.
· Some of the fields in the detail areas are only ready for input in the form view, not in the list view.
Note also that you generally cannot delete any objects in the Web applications. Only the power user may delete objects in the expert mode for structure setup.
