Confirming Activities and Activity Elements 

Use

You can confirm activities and activity elements directly in the progress analysis workbench.

Prerequisites

You have released the activities and activity elements, and the network to which they belong.

You can release activities and activity elements in the progress analysis workbench by choosing Edit ® Status ® Release, or by using the input help in the System Status field.

You cannot release networks in the progress analysis workbench.

Procedure

       1.      Call up the data for the relevant project objects in the progress analysis workbench.

       2.      Enter the actual start and finish dates for the activities and activity elements.

¡        To partially confirm an activity or activity element, enter the actual start date only.

¡        To finally confirm an activity or activity element, enter the actual start date and actual finish date.

       3.      Save your data.

The system executes the confirmation when you save.

Result

The system issues a message to inform you whether you have successfully confirmed the activities or activity elements. If you call up the project in the Project Builder, the status of the project objects is now CNF (confirmed) or PCNF (partially confirmed).
