Completion of a Stability Test
Use
You complete a stability test for a storage condition by making the usage decision for the inspection lot. You complete a single stability test for each storage condition. When you make the usage decision for an inspection lot, you have the following processing options in the standard system:
- You continue the stability study for the storage condition.
- You complete the stability study or deactivate the stability study temporarily for a storage condition.
- You complete the entire stability study.
These processing options are controlled by follow-up actions that are automatically executed by the system when you make the usage decision for an inspection lot. The standard system provides the following functions for defining follow-up actions for the usage decision:
- Complete the initial test
- Confirm a stability inspection lot
- Call up the stability study in the change mode (for example, to complete or cancel the stability study using a follow-up function)
- Lock a stability sample for a storage condition
- Lock a stability sample for a storage condition, if it is the last inspection lot for the storage condition
Prerequisites
You have recorded test results for the inspection characteristics in an inspection lot for a stability sample.
Features
Continuing the stability study for a storage condition
You decide to continue the stability study for a storage condition by making a corresponding usage decision for the inspection lot. This usage decision causes the system to trigger a follow-up action that causes the system to respond as follows:
- If the inspection lot is not the last inspection lot for the storage condition, the system confirms the inspection lot back to scheduling and the test date is completed.
- If the inspection lot is the last inspection lot for the storage condition, the system confirms the inspection lot back to scheduling and the test date is completed. In addition, the stability sample for the storage condition is locked (the status LKD is set in the physical-sample record) and therefore marked for removal from storage. This means that the stability study for this storage condition is completed. No further inspection lots will be created for this storage condition.
Completing or temporarily deactivating the stability study for a storage condition
You decide to not continue the stability study for a storage condition by making a corresponding usage decision for the inspection lot. This usage decision causes the system to trigger a follow-up action that:
- Confirms the inspection lot back to scheduling and completes the test date
- Locks the stability sample for the storage condition (the status LKD is set in the physical-sample record) and marks it for removal from storage. No further inspection lots will be created for this storage condition.
- Allows you to branch to the stability study so you can perform additional activities (for example, to execute the follow-up function Print Storage Removal List)
Completing the stability study
You decide to complete the stability study by making a corresponding usage decision for the inspection lot. This usage decision causes the system to trigger a follow-up action that:
- Confirms the inspection lot back to scheduling and completes the test date
- Allows you to branch to the stability study so you can carry out additional activities (for example, to execute the follow-up function Complete Stability Study or Cancel Stability Study)
