Integration

This function involves the following systems:

     SAP ICH

     SAP ECC

     SAP EWM

Activities

The destination warehouse is already determined by the route determination during returns request processing in SAP CRM. The first location in the chain between the collect-from and target location, which is relevant for logistics processing, is the target location of the returns delivery. Once the returns request is approved, the returns delivery is created in SAP ECC.

Distribution to Dealer Portal

If the Delivery Confirmation Status indicator, which comes with the returns authorization, signals that the customer is expected to submit a returns shipping notification (RASN), the returns delivery is distributed to SAP ICH by an IDoc and displayed as returns instructions in SAP ICH.

This takes place in the delivery processing after the delivery is saved. The partner settings of the output determination are used to identify the system to which the message should be sent. The IDoc that is sent out is based on the standard IDoc DELVRY05.

When packing in the dealer portal is complete, the customer publishes the RASN. This step corresponds to an acceptance of the approved quantity, and the IDoc returns to SAP ECC (Shipping Notification Receipt).

Distribution to SAP EWM

When SAP ECC has received all expected messages from the customer, this delivery is distributed to SAP EWM and converted into a warehouse request (WR).
