Grouping Reason for Personnel
Assignments

that determines why the system processes the
personnel
assignments of a concurrently employed person at the same time or
separately.
The grouping reason defines for which type of processing the system performs a certain grouping.
Each grouping reason for personnel assignments is assigned at least one grouping rule.
The system uses the XXPY grouping reason (Payroll Run (Payroll Area)) to define which personnel assignments of a concurrently employed person it must process together during the payroll. This grouping reason is assigned the XXPY grouping rule (Payroll Area). This grouping rule groups personnel assignments according to the payroll area they belong to. In this way, the system runs the payroll for all personnel assignments that belong to the same payroll area together.
