Printing Directly from Networks

Use

All list types defined in Customizing for the corresponding network type, plant, and MRP controller can be printed within network processing.

Prerequisites

The following prerequisites must be met to print lists for activities and activity elements:

If the parameters have been set in Customizing so that the control key for the activities is checked when lists are being printed, then you must check the control key for each activity to see whether it allows you to print activities, time tickets and confirmation slips.

Note

If the Customizing parameters do not specify a check on the control key, neither the control key nor the status is checked. In this case, the system does not set any print statuses.

The status of the network and the activity must allow printing of lists.

Printing of lists is allowed, if the network is:

Either released or partially released

Neither technically complete nor deleted

The printing of individual activities in a network is allowed if:

The network is either partially released or released

The activity is released, but not deleted

If the network status does not allow printing, no lists are printed. If the network allows printing, the system prints a list in which activities, whose status does not allow printing, are not taken into consideration.

If you want to print time tickets or confirmation slips, the number of time tickets or confirmation slips in the activity must be larger than zero.

The number of time tickets or confirmation slips are suggested from the work center, or can be defined in the detail screen of the activity on the Additional Data tab strip.

Whether components or production resources/tools are printed on a list depends on the status of the activity to which they are allocated. If the activity can be printed, the allocated components can also be printed.

Note

Phantom assemblies cannot be printed.

Procedure

To print from the network, choose

Network ® Print ® Shop papers in the network header or

Network ® Print® Object overview in the object overview.

If you do not want to print all the list types allowed, you can limit the number of lists to be printed for a network by selecting the menu options: Network ® Print ® Print settings ® List control.

Result

In create mode and change mode, printing is carried out after you save the network.

In display mode printing is carried out immediately.
