Classification allows you to describe objects using characteristics and group similar objects in classes according to criteria you define for various purposes.

In a network you use the following class types for classification:

• Class type 13 for the order summarization of production orders, maintenance orders, and networks
• Class type 14 for project summarization
• Class type 21 (networks) for SAP’s general class system
