In Customizing for the Project System you can define the network type and the network parameters.

The network type specifies how a network is actually used for certain tasks and processes in the project, for example:

• Number range assignments and intervals

• How the estimated costs, which are incurred for materials or services in the network, are updated as commitments.

• The status profile for status management

You can enter additional data and control parameters per plant in the parameters for the network type, such as:

• Whether costs incurred in the network are assigned to individual activities or to the network header,

• The objects for which change documents are written

• The costing variants used for planned and actual costs

• The reduction strategy for scheduling

• Strategy for determining the settlement rule
