Use

You can use the hierarchy graphic as a quick, easy way to create and edit WBS elements.

Prerequisites

You have first stipulated how the WBS elements are to be inserted by choosing Edit ® Default settings ® Insert.

Procedures

Create WBS element

  1. Call up the graphic with This graphic is explained in the accompanying text .
  2. Choose This graphic is explained in the accompanying text .
  3. The node area is opened under the display area. It contains a new WBS element.

  4. Click the blank WBS element in the node area.
  5. The system moves the WBS element into the display area.

  6. Drag the WBS element to the correct position in the hierarchy by holding down on the right mouse button and moving the mouse.
  7. Release the mouse button at the desired place.
  8. A dialog box appears.

  9. Enter a number and other data for the WBS element.
  10. Choose This graphic is explained in the accompanying text WBS element to create more elements.

  11. Choose This graphic is explained in the accompanying text.
  12. The system includes the WBS element(s) in the hierarchy.

  13. Return to the WBS element overview with This graphic is explained in the accompanying text .

Change operative indicator

You can change the operative indicators for individual WBS elements quickly and easily in the hierarchy graphic. To do this, double click the relevant fields below the WBS element description.

You can cancel these indicators by double clicking the relevant fields again.
