Identifying Beneficiaries for Advance
Notification of COBRA End
You follow this procedure to identify beneficiaries whom you want to notify in advance about the impending end of their maximum coverage continuation period. You can use the resulting list of beneficiaries as a checklist for sending notification letters.
You can identify beneficiaries in either of the following ways:
· By entering a period for which you want to check COBRA data, and the number of days before the end of coverage that you wish to inform beneficiaries
For example, you may want to identify beneficiaries for whom coverage ends in 90 days' time, and you may want to do this every week for the current week.
· By entering only a period for which you want to check COBRA data
Those beneficiaries are identified whose coverage ends within the specified period.
...
1. From the SAP Easy Access menu, choose Human Resources ® Personnel Management ® Benefits ® COBRA ® Regular End of COBRA.
2. Specify the period for which you want to check COBRA data.
3. Specify the set of employees (and thereby their qualified dependents) that you want to notify.
For the selection, you can use either personnel numbers, the criteria in the General benefits information area, or the selection buttons at the top of the screen.
4. If required, specify the number of days after the selection period that you want to inform beneficiaries in advance.
5. Choose Execute.
The report lists the beneficiaries whose maximum coverage continuation period ends during the time interval defined by the check period and the number of days before COBRA end (if specified).
