Bank Master Data.
Structure
In Country Version Portugal, you assign the bank number to the bank key
. To do this:The bank number and, therefore, the bank key have eight digits, without any gaps. The first four digits indicate the bank and the last four indicate the branch.
The bank account number has up to 11 digits, without any gaps.
The two-digit control key checks the combination of the bank number and the bank account number.
The bank number, the bank account number, and the control key together form the
NIB code.
Country Version Portugal supplies check rules for the bank master data (see
Checks for Bank Master Data). The Bank Data indicator is selected to activate check routines, specific to Portugal, for the bank control key, bank number, and bank account number.
To ensure that the checks run correctly, you must use the ISO country code PT.
