Definition

In this infotype, you record the data for each employee that is relevant for the calculation of the employee’s income tax. This data is used during payroll and for a number of evaluations and reports that follow the payroll run.

Caution To record tax data for an employee, you must have created a record for Organizational Assignment infotype (0001) for the employee.

You create the first record for Fiscal Data A infotype (0042) as part of the Hiring personnel action. Here you must ensure that the start date of this infotype record matches the date of the employee’s first entry in your company. (In most cases, the first entry date corresponds to the start date of the record for Organizational Assignment infotype (0001).)

If you want to delimit a record of Fiscal Data A infotype (0042), the end date of the infotype record must be the last day of a month. This, however, is not applicable when you delimit the infotype in order to create a new record for work abroad.

If you delimit an employee’s existing record for the infotype in order to create a new record for work abroad, you must carry out an organizational change at the same time. This means that at the end date of the record for Fiscal Data A infotype (0042), a record for Organizational Assignment infotype (0001) must exist for the employee. The start date of the new record of Organizational Assignment infotype (0001) must be the same as the start date of the Fiscal Data A infotype (0042).

You can also create Fiscal Data A infotype (0042) for a job abroad that is valid for less than a month.

Use

By entering the appropriate amounts, indicators, and so on, you provide the system with information as to which circumstances are to be taken into account when calculating taxes during payroll for the employee. The entries are especially important that are factor into the determination of the tax assessment base. These include tax exemptions and deductions.

Structure

Here you enter the procedure for tax calculation and if the employee is not required to pay taxes, the reason for this exemption. In addition, you determine whether the a periodic tax declaration is carried out.

Here you specify any tax exemptions or deductions that could possible be granted. See also: Structure link Tax Deductions

Here you specify whether the employee’s income is used to determine the municipal tax and the contribution to the family-related expenses fund.

Integration

If you create new records for Fiscal Data A infotype (0042), the system provides default values for some fields. These values are based on the data stored in Organizational Assignment infotype (0001) and Personal Data infotype (0002).
