Sibuin Depreciation Area
A depreciation area that you use to record sibuin amounts.
Create a sibuin depreciation area in Customizing for Financial Accounting (FI), by choosing Asset Accounting ® Valuation ® Depreciation Areas ® Define Depreciation Areas ® Define Depreciation Areas. We recommend that you call the area 51.
In the depreciation area, make the following settings:
· Select Real Depreciation Area.
· In the Posting in G/L field, enter 0 (No Values Are Posted in General Ledger).
· In the Acquisition Value field, select Only Positive Values or Zero Allowed.
· In the Net Book Value field, select All values allowed.
Specify the area type in Customizing for FI, by choosing Asset Accounting ® Valuation ® Depreciation Areas ® Define Depreciation Areas ® Specify Area Type, and set the type to 02 (Special Depreciation Reserves (Special Tax Depreciation)).
Assign a dummy depreciation key to the asset classes (in the standard system, 0000) in the sibuin depreciation area: the reports calculate the depreciation for tax purposes instead of the depreciation key. Do so in Customizing for FI, by choosing Asset Accounting ® Valuation ® Determine Depreciation Areas in the Asset Class.
Open up the depreciation area for the relevant asset classes in the SAP Easy Access menu under Accounting ® Financial Accounting ® Fixed Assets ® Environment ® New Depreciation Area, and select Depreciation Terms from Asset Class and Leave Values Initial.
When you prepare the depreciation statements, the system posts sibuin postings to this depreciation area.
