Property Tax Report
This report offers features for tax accountants and cost center managers. Tax accountants can use it to prepare a property tax declaration.
· You can either prepare a list of all assets, or just a list of the acquisitions and retirements, depending on what sort of list you want you want to file with your municipal tax office. Most offices require a complete list; some only require lists of acquisitions and retirements.
· If you use additional depreciation, you can prepare a provisional tax declaration until you finalize the additional depreciation rates. After than, you can prepare a final tax declaration (see Preparation of Declarations with Additional Depreciation).
· You can display the data from the last update run for any tax declaration.
Cost center managers can use it to forecast how much property tax to budget for over the next two years (see Budgeting Runs).
To access the report, on the SAP Easy Access screen, choose Accounting ® Financial Accounting ® Fixed Assets ® Information System ® Reports on Asset Accounting ® Specific Valuations ® Country Specifics ® Japan ® Property Tax Report.
You have maintained the asset master records and posted the asset transactions as described in the above documentation.
You have the
authorization object A_PERI_BUK (Asset Accounting:
Authorizations for Periodic Processing), with the value 35 (if you want
to carry out update runs) or 30 (if you only want to read the data). For more
information about authorizations, see

After you execute
the report in test mode, an application log appears, with a list of messages.
To get from the application log to the main output list, choose
.
The output list shows each asset’s tax book value, tax evaluation amount, decided value, its value after the application of any special rules, and finally its taxable value.
If you run the report in update mode, the system saves the data for each asset. The report does not overwrite old data from any previous runs. It saves the results of each run separately. For this reason, you may eventually want to delete superfluous data (see Deleting Old Data).
The default output
list is formatted using
SAP List
Viewer (ALV). You can change
the appearance of the list according to your requirements, or save it as a
Microsoft Excel file. If you prefer, the system can format the output as a tax
declaration with a cover sheet (see Custom
Layouts).
To display the results of the latest update run from any tax declaration year, enter the year and select Display Latest Data.
