IDoc for Customers 

Use

You can use this function to send shipping notifications to the EDI subsystem of the customer.

Integration

This function is integrated with the following systems:

●      SAP Customer Relationship Management (SAP CRM)

●      SAP ERP Central Component (SAP ECC)

●      EDI Subsystem

●      SAP Inventory Collaboration Hub (SAP ICH)

Activities

SAP CRM to SAP ECC

The customer sends the returns request through an IDoc. After it is approved and validated in SAP CRM, the returns request is replicated as an original returns delivery in SAP ECC.

SAP ECC to Customer EDI Subsystem

SAP ECC sends the returns instruction using the DELVRY05 IDoc to the customer EDI Subsystem.

EDI Subsystem to SAP ECC

The customer submits the shipping notification after packing the authorized returns items and assigns the carrier to the returns advanced shipping notification (RASN). The dealer’s IDoc contains information about the following:

●      Return material authorization (RAM)

●      Packing

●      Carrier

SAP ECC to SAP CRM

SAP CRM is informed about the quantities that the dealer accepted for a certain RMA.

SAP ECC to SAP ICH

If the returns instruction sent using the Idoc message to the customer EDI Subsystem fails, execute transaction /SPE/ASN01 to distribute the returns delivery to SAP ICH.
