Certification Run
The certification procedure is used in a particular certification run. Each certification run uses one phase of the procedure.
You build the certification procedure by setting up one or more phases, each of them involving one document category and some document types.
The figure below shows how a certification run is carried out for a particular financing source and time period, or time slice. The following points apply:
● The expenditure ceiling (€ 10,000) is multiplied by the percentage contribution rate (80%), in order to obtain the maximum contribution (€ 8,000).
● After the individual expenditure documents 1 and 2 have been created, the totals at the bottom represent the certified expenditure (€ 5,000) and the certified contribution (€ 4,000) that is provided by the sponsor.

To define a certification procedure, you must access the Implementation Guide (IMG) node for Expenditure Certification and make the necessary settings in the IMGactivity Define Certification Procedure. The documentation for the activity contains detailed instructions on what you need to do here.
After this you can create your certification runs in the SAP Enterprise Portal.
