Triggering Follow-On Actions
With the transaction Change Payment Data you can trigger various follow-on actions.
In the Implementation Guide for Contract Accounts Receivable and Payable, under Basic Functions ® Contract Partner ® Changes to Payment Transactions ® Define Set of Rules for Follow-On Actions, you have defined sets of rules and assigned these to the relevant company codes.
When you save the data, the system determines the follow-on actions using a set of rules. The system displays the follow-on actions determined in a separate dialog box when you save, provided you do not suppress this display via the corresponding Customizing setting. You can also display the dialog box during processing by choosig the pushbutton Follow-On Actions.
In the tree structure, the sets of rules that the system has determined for the selected objects (for example, contract accounts) are displayed.
The rules are only actually performed if the
corresponding set of rules is active and the rule is selected.
A set of rules is not active if it appears light gray. You can activate this set of rules by double-clicking on it. Alternatively, you can place the cursor on the set of rules and choose the pushbutton Activate Set of Rules. To deactivate, proceed in the same way.
If a set of rules is active, you can select/deselect rules. Using the buttons Select Rule Block and Deselect Rule Block, you can either set or delete all modifiable selection fields of the rules of a set of rules simultaneously. To do this, place the cursor on the line of the set of rules whose rules you want to select or deselect.
You can influence the processing of the
follow-on actions through Customizing.
§ In Customizing you can configure that a set of rules is active when you call up the follow-on actions.
§ For each rule, you can configure whether this is to be already selected when you call up the follow-on actions and whether the user can change this.
Depending on the Customizing, you can select the following rules:
·
Delete Bank Data from BP or
Delete Payment Card Data from BP
If you select this rule, the bank details/payment card deleted are also
deleted from the master data of the business partner. The prerequisite is that
this payment data is not used in any other object (for example, in a contract
account).
·
Remove Locks
If you select this rule, the following locks are deleted in accordance with
the Customizing configured:
¡ For contract accounts and industry objects:
§ Payment locks for incoming and outgoing payments
§ Dunning locks
¡ For items:
§ Payment locks
§ Dunning locks
For these rules, the system only displays the
rules that can be performed according to the Customizing settings. When you
save, the data is then changed in accordance with these rules.
·
Reverse Dunning Notices
With this rule, the system displays the dunning notices that qualify for a
reversal according to Customizing. If you select this rule, all dunning
notices displayed below it are reversed (including the dunning charges). If
the charges have already been cleared, the system creates a corresponding
credit memo - provided this is required according to Customizing.
·
Reset Returns
With this rule, the system displays the returns that qualify for a reset
according to Customizing. If you select this rule, the creditworthiness
entries and the charges of all returns displayed are reversed. If the charges
have already been cleared, the system creates a corresponding credit memo -
provided this is required according to Customizing.
If a rule displayed requires a reconciliation key for execution, the system displays a corresponding input field. If necessary, the system creates the reconciliation keys that you specify here.
