Use

Personnel calculation rules are subdivided into standard rules and customer rules. Unlike personnel calculation schemas, there is also a name range for rules in the SAP standard client. All rules whose names begin with a special character & ( ) / : ; < > = or with the letter Z are customer rules. If a rule starts with a question mark ( ? ), it is a standard rule. In the SAP standard-client, the system differentiates between standard and customer rules using the first character in the rule name. You should not create a rule under a name from the SAP name range.

The information on rules is stored in client-specific tables, irrespective of whether the rule is a standard rule or a customer rule. The corresponding table entries for the standard rules are automatically transported to the non-standard clients after a transport to the standard client. This means that a rule that exists in the standard client is always available in the current client. However, if you create or change a rule in the standard client, these changes are not automatically available in the non-standard client.
