Function documentation Check Grouping Rules for a Grouping Reason Locate the document in its SAP Library structure

Use

The system uses this function to check which of several grouping rules for personnel assignments assigned to the same grouping reason is valid at a given time.

Features

In Customizing, the same grouping reason can be assigned several grouping rules simultaneously. The following assignments are possible:

     customer-specific country-specific assignment

This assignment exists in the following cases:

You have changed the standard assignment of a grouping rule to a grouping reason for a certain country.

You have assigned a customer-specific grouping rule to a grouping reason for a certain country.

     Customer-specific cross-country assignment

This assignment exists in the following cases:

You have changed the standard assignment of a grouping rule to a grouping reason at cross-country level

You have assigned a customer-specific grouping rule to a grouping reason on cross-country level.

     country-specific standard assignment

     Cross-country standard assignment

To determine the correct grouping rule for a grouping reason, the system evaluates the assignments in the specified sequence. It first checks to which country grouping the personnel assignment belongs, and then proceeds as follows for this country grouping:

This graphic is explained in the accompanying text

Example

In your system, the following grouping rules are assigned to the ABCD grouping reason:

Country Grouping

Grouping Rule

Configuration Type

10

ZCUS

Customer-specific country-specific assignment

None

ZCXY

Customer-specific cross-country assignment
