Use

You can use this function to process inbound deliveries.

Features

Screen Areas

The main access screen for Inbound Delivery (ID) Processing is divided into the following areas:

·        Selection area

The selection area consists of selection criteria for:

¡        Inbound deliveries (select according to vendor or external delivery number)

¡        Handling units

·        Navigation tree area

The navigation tree area displays the results of the search based on the selection criteria you enter. Its nodes and the various documents and document statuses displayed in the tree are displayed in the form of icons.

You can display the meaning of the icons by placing your icon on one of the nodes and choosing Help for Node. In general, the following icons can be displayed:

You can perform certain functions in the document from the navigation tree by placing you cursor on a node and using the right-hand mouse button to call up a list of options as follows:

¡        Create

¡        Change

¡        Display

¡        Delete

¡        Messages

¡        Help for Node

 

·        Header area

The header area displays data relevant to the entire document. The following tab pages are provided:

¡        Basic Data:

¡        Identification of document, document dates, goods receipt and unloading point, warehouse number, and so on.

¡        Administration

¡        Control data

¡        Texts

¡        Partner

¡        Information related to partner, such as partner function or partner address

¡        Totals Comparison: Packing Data

¡        Totals comparison of delivery item with packing data

¡        Time Stamps

The inbound delivery contains one time stamp per event. If the event occurs more then once, the system updates the time stamp with the new data. The following time stamp events are provided:

§         ID IN TRANSIT: Start of processing until the In Transit (SHP) status is reached

§         ID VERSION: Contains time stamps for the latest changes

§         ID IN YARD: In transit until In Yard (YRD) status is reached

§         ID RECEIVED ON DOCK: In yard until the Received on Dock (ROD) status is reached

§         ID PROCESSED: Received on dock until Processed(PRC) status is reached

·        Item overview area

The item overview area displays an overview of the items contained in the document. The following tab pages are provided:

¡        Items

¡        Material, delivery quantity, reference document, reference document item

¡        Packing Data

¡        Identification of handling unit

¡        Status

¡        Status of header and status of items in the document

¡        Document Flow

·        Item detail area

The item detail area displays the item details. The following tab pages are provided:

¡        Item

¡        Administrative data, material data, quantities, unloading and putaway information, predecessor data, goods movement control,

¡        Texts

·        Handling unit area

The handling unit area displays handling unit information. The following tab pages are provided:

¡        Handling unit (packaging material information)

¡        Contents (material packed in handling unit, quantity, batch)

User Interface Configuration

You can configure the user interface by using the options screen under Extras  ® Options.

Note

This screen contains the same data as the settings in the Customizing activity Define Configuration Profiles. The settings that have been made in Customizing appear on this option screen. If you change the settings on this option screen, you automatically also change the settings in the configuration profile.

Additional Screens

You have the following additional screens at your disposal:

¡        Filter Screen: the filter screen allows you to define according to which receiving points, plants, storage locations, and delivery dates inbound deliveries are to be selected. You can also define whether incorrect inbound deliveries are displayed or not.

¡        Extended Search Screen: you can use the extended search screen for finding inbound deliveries and handling units based on wider selection criteria.
