Customizing Settings 

Make the following settings in Customizing for the ERP system:

·        For kit headers with a goods movement, define:

¡        The item category KIT, under Logistics Execution ® Shipping ® Deliveries ® Define Item Categories for Deliveries

¡        The goods receipt movement type for the item category, under Logistics Execution ® Service Parts Management (SPM) ® Outbound Process ® Kit to Order  ® Set Goods Receipt Movement Type for Kit Headers

¡        The goods issue movement type for the assigned schedule line type, under Sales and Distribution ® Sales ® Sales Documents ® Scheduling Agreements with Delivery Schedules ® Define Schedule Line Types

¡        The requirements class, under Logistics Execution ® Shipping ® Basic Shipping Functions ® Availability Check and Transfer of Requirements ® Transfer of Requirements ® Define Requirements Classes

You require goods movement postings to enable cross-docking in the transfer and billing at kit header level.

·        For kit headers without a goods movement, deactivate:

¡        The availability check

§         For the item category KIT, under Logistics Execution ® Shipping ® Deliveries ® Define Item Categories for Deliveries

§         Or for the requirements class, under Logistics Execution ® Shipping ® Basic Shipping Functions ® Availability Check and Transfer of Requirements ® Transfer of Requirements ® Define Requirements Classes

¡        The goods issue movement type for the assigned schedule line type, under Sales and Distribution ® Sales ® Sales Documents ® Scheduling Agreements with Delivery Schedules ® Define Schedule Line Types

¡        The transfer of requirements for requirements classes, under Logistics Execution ® Shipping ® Basic Shipping Functions ® Availability Check and Transfer of Requirements ® Transfer of Requirements ® Define Requirements Classes

·        For kit components, define the item category KOMP, under Logistics Execution ® Shipping ® Deliveries ® Define Item Categories for Deliveries

Do not define billing relevance for the kit header and the kit component at the same time.

·        For replacement kit components, define the item category TAP2, under Logistics Execution ® Shipping ® Deliveries ® Define Item Categories for Deliveries

·        For replacement kit components, deactivate:

¡        The availability check

§         For the item category TAP2, under Logistics Execution ® Shipping ® Deliveries ® Define Item Categories for Deliveries

§         Or for the requirements class, under Logistics Execution ® Shipping ® Basic Shipping Functions ® Availability Check and Transfer of Requirements ® Transfer of Requirements ® Define Requirements Classes

¡        The goods issue movement type for the assigned schedule line type, under Sales and Distribution ® Sales ® Sales Documents ® Scheduling Agreements with Delivery Schedules ® Define Schedule Line Types

¡        The transfer of requirements for requirements classes, under Logistics Execution ® Shipping ® Basic Shipping Functions ® Availability Check and Transfer of Requirements ® Transfer of Requirements ® Define Requirements Classes

The system does not post any goods movements for replacement kit components, does not perform an availability check, and does not create any requirements.
