Purpose

Since the functions provided by Incentive and Commission Management (ICM) are divided up between a number of packages, you can select the specific packages you require for your particular application. You do not have to include any additional packages in your commission application, which keeps the effort for the implementation team to a minimum.

Apart from the core package which is mandatory and which lets you use a “light” version of the ICM application, SAP provides additional packages with various options:

·        Enhanced functions of the commission case – light, such as for target agreements, partnerships and actual commission

·        Additional technical interfaces or ERP integration, such as the link to settlement or reporting systems

·        Support through preconfigured interfaces or Business Content for selected scenarios, such as ICM for CRM or ICM for Insurance.

You can activate any additional ICM packages at any time after productive start.

Recommendation

We recommend you do not delete any packages after their creation since this may result in the loss of table content and DDIC elements. SAP does not support this activity.

You should note any licensing restrictions in your selection of packages.

Overview of Packages in ICM

Below is an overview of the main packages in Incentive and Commission Management

This graphic is explained in the accompanying text

Package CACS00: Core Package in ICM

Package CACS00 is the core package in SAP Incentive and Commission Management (ICM).  It forms the basis of your commission application and must be selected.

The selection of additional packages is optional.

·        To map calculation formula, you must select one of the SAP calculation tools (CACSSD, CACSM2) or install a different calculation tool using the logical service.

·        If you want to transfer settlement objects automatically from the commission system to a settlement system, you need to select one of the three service connections (CACSCD, CACSHR, CACSFI) or install your own connection using the logical service.

The package includes non-industry-specific sample entries (such as change reasons) as well as system-relevant entries (such as logical services).

Package CACS26: Target Agreements

Package CACS26 provides the functions of Structure linktarget agreements if you use ICM as the target administration system as well as the classification system.

·        You must also select CACSTX (complex valuation).

·        As an option, you can select package CACS29 which provides sample Customizing.

·        If you intend to use portfolio assignment (PFO) as the classification system, also select package CACSTB.

Package CACSTX: Complex Valuation

The functions of the complex valuation are provided with package CACSTX. If you use the functions of target agreements (package CACS26), you should also use this package.

Package CACS29: Target Agreements (Sample)

ICM provides a standard sample for target agreements with this package. To be able to use this sample, you must generate the application with package CACS26.

Package CACSTB: Target Agreements Using Portfolio Assignment

Use package CACSTB if you intend to use portfolio assignment (PFO) as the classification system for target agreements (package CACS26). You should only use this package in conjunction with target agreements.

Package CACS42: Partnerships

Package CACS42 provides the functions for partnerships in your commission application. The main package CACS00 is a prerequisite for using it. With Structure linkpartnerships you can combine commission contracts of equal status (not in a hierarchy) and register these as a group in the commission case. This package provides functions to distribute commissions between the members of the partnership on the basis of customer-specific selection criteria.

Package CACS41: Entitlement and Liability Transfer

Package CACS41 provides the function to carry out entitlement and liability transfer (ELT).

Package CACS41 contains non-industry-specific core elements of entitlement and liability transfer, as do packages CACS44 and CACS45.

·        Package CACS45 provides the standard delivery of ELT.

·        Package CACS44 contains the functions required if entitlements are to be disbursed in the framework of settlement scheduling.

Package CACS45: ELT Delivery Scenario

Package CACS45 provides the standard delivery of ELT. If you do not select package CACS45, it is only possible to use ELT to select entitlements and liabilities or receiver contracts after implementing your own customer-specific logic.

Package CACS44: ELT for Settlement Scheduling

Package CACS44 provides functions for carrying out ELT when you use settlement scheduling as a method for scheduling remunerations. You cannot carry out ELT for settlement scheduling without selecting package CACS44. If only settlement items are to be disbursed, in other words there is no settlement schedule run, you do not need to select package CACS44.

To use CACS44, you also need packages CACS41 and CACS25.

Package CACS27: Actual Commission

This package provides the functions of actual commission. Actual commission means that the settlement is triggered by additional events, such as the receipt of a customer payment.

You can use the actual commission for activities such as comparing income from regular premiums on the one hand and commission payments on the other, or to monitor commission payments from a risk management point of view. The package includes non-industry-specific sample entries (such as a sample release type) as well as system-relevant entries (such as logical services).

Package CACS25: Settlement Scheduling

Package CACS25 provides the functions to perform the scheduling of remuneration entitlements, such as settlement scheduling. Settlement schedules can be recalculated if changed circumstances call for this.

Settlement scheduling is a requirement if you intend to use actual commission (CACS27),

The package includes non-industry-specific sample entries (such as a payment release rule) as well as system-relevant entries (such as logical services).

Package FSCS01: Standard Scenarios for Insurance (SAP for Insurance)

You should select package FSCS01 if you wish to create a commission application in the insurance environment. The package contains all the relevant system and Customizing entries for creating a simple commission application in the insurance context.

The package includes industry-specific sample entries (such as a remuneration type or acquisition commission for life insurance) as well as system-relevant entries (such as logical services).

No sample settings are provided for the areas of liability and bonuses since there is no standard delivery here.

Package CRM001: Standard Scenario of mySAP CRM

Package CRM001 contains the main Customizing entries for a selected business scenario that interfaces with mySAP Customer Relationship Managements (mySAP CRM).

Package CACSFI: Service Connection for Disbursements in Accounts Payable Accounting

Select package CACSFI if you wish to make settlements and disbursements in Accounts Payable Accounting (FI-AP). This package contains system-relevant entries (such as logical services).

Package CACSCD: Service Connection for Settlement in Collections/Disbursements of the Insurance Industry

Select package CACSCD if you wish to carry out settlements and disbursements in Collections and Disbursements (FS-CD). This package contains system-relevant entries (such as logical services).

Package CACSHR: Service Connection for Disbursements in Payroll

Select package CACSHR if you wish to carry out settlements and disbursements in Payroll (PY). This package contains system-relevant entries (such as logical services).

Note

Note for selecting packages CACSFI, CACSCD and CACSHR: If you use your own disbursement system, you must make the appropriate settings in Customizing. Choose Incentive and Commission Management ® Basic and Master Data ® Standard Commission Contract ® Settlement and Cancellation Reserve Agreement ® Define Settings for Target Settlement System.

Package CACSM2: Determine Valuation Using Copy Service (Simple Calculation)

This package provides simple calculation methods for the valuation, based on the copy service. This package contains system-relevant entries (such as logical services).

Package CACSSD: Calculation Using Condition Technique (SD Condition Technique)

Select package CACSSD if you wish to use the SD condition technique to determine certain information (output values) on the basis of predetermined information (input values) based on conditions. This package provides calculation methods for remuneration, valuation and liability based on the condition technique.

Since there is currently no other calculation service available in the standard delivery, we recommend using this package if you do not intend to install your own tool. This package contains system-relevant entries (such as logical services).

You can replace the standard SAP condition technique with a different tool. You configure it in Customizing for Incentive and Commission Management choose Tools ® Logical Service.

Package CACSRC: Service Connection for Drilldown Reports (Report Painter)

We recommend using SAP NetWeaver Business Intelligence (SAP NetWeaver BI) to create reports. Package CACSBW provides the connection to SAP NetWeaver BI . However, if you prefer to use drilldown reporting, you must select this ICM package.

This package contains system-relevant entries (such as logical services).

Package CACSBW: Extraction for SAP NetWeaver BI

Package CACSBW connects the commission system with SAP NetWeaver Business Intelligence (SAP NetWeaver BI). It provides extractors, extractor structures and the corresponding DataSources.  The core package CACS00 is a prerequisite.

You can use extractors to transfer data from the commission system in SAP NetWeaver BI and process it there.

Package CACSWF: Workflow Connection

Package CACSWF connects SAP Business Workflow (BC-BMT-WFM) for your commission application. The main package CACS00 is a prerequisite. A function is provided to notify the responsible processor(s) when commission cases are set to pending.

Package CACSCP: Retroactive Case Processing

Package CACSCP provides functions for retroactive case processing (RCP). Package CACS00 is a prerequisite.

With Structure linkretroactive case processing you can automate the recalculation of commission cases, for instance as a result of incorrect settings in Customizing. .
