Scenario-Wide Settings
The following settings need to be determined for the whole planning scenario:
· Database currency:
All plan data is stored in the database in this currency. Make sure that actual data is also stored in the database currency.
· Special planning levels:
Use these settings to allocate particular semantics (for example, planning level “article”) to the selected planning levels. This information is, for example, necessary
¡ within Article / Characteristic Planning
¡ for using the master data attributes supplied (also see Defining Planning Layouts under Defining an attribute column - Supplied planning attributes)
¡ within Listing from manual planning.
· SAP BW Connection:
This switch determines whether the function “Read from BW actual data” is available within the selected planning scenario.
For more information, see Connection to SAP Business Information Warehouse.
A prerequisite for this is that the connection to the SAP BW is also activated in the cross-scenario settings.
· SAP BW configuration:
If the connection to SAP BW is active, you need to establish the assignment of planning scenario fields in the ERP system to the InfoObjects in SAP BW. This mapping is necessary to be able to read the SAP BW data in the database tables for planning.
· Article / Characteristics Planning
This switch determines whether the function “Article / Characteristics Planning” is available within the selected planning scenario.
For more information, see Article and Characteristics Planning.
