Use

Report Tracking is a tool you can use to schedule automatic runs of reports in Grants Management – Grantee (GM-GTE) and/or trigger workflow messages to an SAP object type (person, position, user, work center, or organizational unit).

Procedure

To use this facility, you need to enter some settings in the GM-GTE Implementation Guide (IMG). Having done that, you then need to enter the required defaults in the sponsor master data and/or the grant type.

Proceed as follows:

...

       1.      In the GM-GTE IMG, choose Reporting ® Report Tracking/Monitoring  ®  Maintain Report Classes.

The Change View: “GM Report Class”: Overview screen appears.

       2.      Choose New Entries and enter an identifier and a description of up to 30 characters for you new report class.

       3.      Save your entries and return to the GM-GTE IMG.

       4.      Choose Maintain Schedule Rules.

The Display View: “GM Schedule Rule”: Overview screen appears.

       5.      Choose Display -> Change and choose New Entries.

       6.      Specify the following:

¡        An identifier for the new rule

¡        An additional description of up to 40 characters

¡        The periodic property of the new rule

That is, how often it is applied. Use the input help to display the available options.

¡        A start date for the new rule. The options are:

§         Grant valid from date

§         Grant valid to date

§         Today’s system date

       7.      Save your entries and return to the GM-GTE IMG.

       8.      Choose Maintain Report Rules.

       9.      The Change View: “GM Report Rule”: Overview screen appears.

At this time, though you must carry out this step, you can only enter your schedule rule again as the report rule. This feature is to be developed further.

   10.      Save your entries and return to the GM-GTE IMG.

   11.      If you have selected user-defined start and/or end dates in the schedule rule for report tracking, you need to run the additional Report Tracker Business Add-In (BAdI) to determine the relevant date(s). The IMG documentation for the step contains a detailed description of what you must do.

   12.      There is also a BAdI entitled Enhancement Functions for GM Reporting. You can use this to enhance the master data index programs in Grants Management.

Result

GM Reporting, including Report Tracking, is now ready for use in your installation.
