Assigning Waste Management Business Partners 

Use

This procedure describes how you assign a waste management business partner (waste generator, waste disposer, waste transporter, temporary storage facility) to a disposal document.

Prerequisites

·        You have created the waste management business partner.

·        You have processed the IMG activity Specify Partner for Each Disposal Document Type in Customizing for Waste Management.

·        If you want to assign a temporary storage facility to the disposal document, you must have specified the role for the disposal document type that waste management business partners must have so that they can be assigned to a disposal document as a temporary storage facility in Customizing for Waste Management under Specify Disposal Document Types.

·        You have executed the procedure Editing Disposal Documents for the required disposal document and are on the Create Disposal Documents or Change Disposal Documents screen.

       1.      Choose the corresponding tab page. Depending on the disposal document type, these are the following tab pages, for example:

       2.      Enter data as required. Note the following:

¡        You can use the following input helps:

§         Selection of All Partners

This input help takes into account all the waste management business partners in the system. You can use it to search for waste management business partners by entering, for example, a partner type or a description as search criteria.

§         Selection of All Partners with Suitable Partner/Waste Comb.

This input help only takes into account waste management business partners that occur in waste generations, waste disposals, or waste transports. If you have assigned a waste to the disposal document, only waste management business partners that occur in waste generations, waste disposals, or waste transports with this waste are taken into account.

§         Selection of All Partners with Suitable Disposal Channel

This input help only takes into account waste management business partners that occur in disposal channels. If you have assigned a waste to the disposal document, only waste management business partners that occur in disposal channels with this waste are taken into account.

¡        If you have assigned a waste approval to the disposal document, you can only assign waste management business partners to the disposal document that have been marked as relevant to disposal documents in the waste approval (see Editing Waste Management Business Partner Assignments). The system also adopts these waste management business partners automatically when you assign the waste approval to the disposal document. Instead of the input helps described above, you can then use an input help that only displays the waste management business partners that are relevant to disposal documents.

These restrictions only apply, however, to waste management business partners of the roles for which the waste approval contains a waste management business partner that is relevant to disposal documents. In other words, if the waste approval does not contain any waste transporters that are relevant to disposal documents, you can assign it as you wish.

¡        In Customizing for Waste Management, you can also specify the following for each disposal document type under Specify Disposal Document Types:

§         You can specify that a warning is displayed if you assign a waste generator, waste disposer, and waste to a disposal document and this waste generator, waste disposer, and waste do not occur together in a disposal channel in the master data. For more information, see the IMG activity Specify Disposal Document Types and the field help for the Disposal channel rqd indicator in this IMG activity.

§         You can specify that the system issues a warning or an error message if you assign a waste and a waste management business partner to a disposal document of the disposal document type and this waste and waste management business partner do not occur together in a waste generation, waste disposal, or waste transport in the master data.        3.      Save your entries.

Result

If you assign a waste generator and have specified a return-within period in the master data for this waste generator, and this period has the same validity area as the disposal document type (see Assigning Authority-Assigned Numbers), the system transfers this return period to the disposal document. Any return-within period that has been taken from Customizing for the disposal document type is overwritten. You specify the validity area for the disposal document type under Specify Disposal Document Types in Customizing for Waste Management.
