Availability Monitoring with CCMS 

Proactive automatic monitoring is the basis for the reliable operation of your SAP system environment. SAP provides you with an infrastructure and recommendations how you should configure your warning monitoring, in order to recognize critical situations for your SAP components as quicky as possible.

Using the Computing Center Management System (CCMS) that is provided with every SAP Web Application Server, you can monitor your entire IT landscape centrally. You can integrate both SAP and non-SAP components. The system quickly and reliably reports any problems that occur.

You can integrate SAP Biller Direct in an existing SAP CCMS using the SAP CCMS Generic Request and Message Generator (GRMG) framework, and so monitor it centrally. If SAP Biller Direct is not available, CCMS can automatically send an e-mail or SMS to the system administrator responsible by using auto-reaction methods. The Heartbeat monitor calls up SAP Biller Direct from the CCMS. SAP Biller Direct checks whether access to the linked accounting system via the pool user is possible. If this test is successful, SAP Biller Direct is displayed in CCMS as available.

To install the Generic Request and Message Generator (GRMG) monitor, connect the SAP NetWeaver Application Server via a CCMS agent to a central CCMS.
To upload the GRMG configuration data of the application sap.com/fscm~bd, choose Monitoring ® GRMG Customizing in the initial screen of the Visual Administrator.
