The HRBRCALC0 payroll program performs calculations related to data accumulated in the Transportation Allowance infotype.

The system checks data introduced in infotype 0410, Transportation Allowance, and analyzes the maximum discount value to which the employee is entitled, as well as the amount to be paid by the employee.

During Customizing, parameters must be set for the following:

• Transportation types
• Transportation lines

The transportation types determine the transportation mode(s) used by the employee for daily commuting. Transportation lines determine the company’s name and the transportation path.

Transportation allowance values are calculated by the BRVTR function:

• Calculation of the maximum discount value for transportation allowance to which the employee is entitled, based on his/her wage and on the value of tickets received over the period
• Calculation of the payment value which is to be paid by the employer.

This process results in the transportation allowance amounts to be paid by the employee and the employer.
