Material

The material must be entered by you.

Customer

If the system is to determine customer-specific labels too, you must enter the appropriate customer.

Packaging unit

The system uses the outermost packaging unit taken from the packaging hierarchy of the material that you specified in the material master (see Specifying Packaging Hierarchies for a Material). However, you can also choose a different packaging unit from the material’s packaging hierarchy.

Number of packaging units

The system uses the value 1. You can change this.

Plant

The system determines all plants for which data was entered in the material master for the material, and uses the first plant it finds. However, you can choose a different plant from those that were determined.

Hierarchy explosion

You can specify whether the packaging hierarchy should be exploded, that is, whether the system should also determine labels for all packaging units that exist in the packaging hierarchy below the packaging unit specified. The packaging hierarchy will not be exploded by default.

Modes of transport and countries

The system uses the modes of transport and validity areas that were assigned to the plants specified in the IMG activity Specify Values for EPA Numbers, Validity Areas, and Modes of Transport in Customizing for Global Label Management. The system uses the validity areas to determine the countries belonging to them. You can change the modes of transport and countries that are suggested.

The additional entries you must make in the labeling scenario depend on the settings you made for the labeling scenario in the IMG activity Specify Labeling Scenarios in Customizing for Global Label Management.
