Use
You can display a thumbnail from a graphical file. You can visualize the content of an original application file without starting the workstation application that was used to create the graphical file.
Prerequisites
Converter
An external converter creates the thumbnails. You organize the conversion process according to your enterprise-specific requirements. Be sure when selecting the converter that it is able to convert the source format of an original application file into the target format of a thumbnail.
You need one of the following 2D formats for thumbnails (raster image files):

If you use both formats in your enterprise, ensure that the thumbnails are created consistently into one format per document type.

Document Info Record
Having created a thumbnail for the graphical original application file with the help of the converter, you then have to create this thumbnail as an original application file in the document info record.
Procedure
You can display thumbnails in the following processing situations:
If a thumbnail exists for an original application file, it is automatically displayed in the header of the data sheet.
