Process documentation PY-TW Tax Reports Locate the document in its SAP Library structure

Purpose

This process describes how the Tax Report is printed or saved to a diskette for the tax bureau.

Prerequisites

You must have run payroll for your employees and have payroll results. Some reports can also require that specific infotypes have been updated.

Process Flow

The Tax Reporting Process:

Although the reporting process described below is the same for all reports generated by Tax Reporter, the periodicity of the reports depends on federal and local requirements.

  1. Preparation: Before creating a regulatory report, you must prepare the payroll results for generation. This involves specifying the type and form of payroll data to use and related wage types. The system uses your entries to filter the results and stores the data in tax interface tables.
  2. Generation: Generate and check the report. Specify the report you want to generate and the area and period for which you want the report created. The system uses your entries to extract the appropriate data from the tax interface tables that were filled during preparation.
  3. Output: After generating the report, you can print it or save it to a diskette. The different media correspond to the legal requirements of the bureaus requiring the reports.
