Finding Qualified Employees for a Specific Project: Example

Use

You want to find employees in an organizational unit who are suitably qualified for working on a specific project, and who are also available for a specific number of days within the period of the project.

Procedure

Choose Human resources ® Personnel management ® Personnel development ® Information system ® Find ® For qualifications.

The Find Objects for Qualifications screen appears.

Select the qualifications you want by double-clicking them. For more information on selecting objects in the Object Manager, refer to Working With the Object Manager.

Enter data for the selection criterion, and choose Enter.

If necessary, change the key date.

On the Restrict to object types tab page, select only the object type Person.

On the More restrictions tab page, choose the Possible entries pushbutton.

Select the Free search option.

The Determine Personnel Numbers dialog box appears.

Choose Organizational structure.

The Choose Organizational Unit dialog box appears.

Select the organizational unit you want, and choose Transfer.

The Find Objects for Qualifications screen appears. The system defines the persons of the organizational unit selected as selection criteria.

On the Availability tab page, enter the start and end date of the project, as well as the number of days on which the persons should be available.

Choose Search ® Execute.

The Find Objects for Qualifications screen appears.

Result

The system displays a list of all persons who have the qualifications specified (and at least the proficiencies specified), and who are available for the required number of days.
