Transferring Plan Data to Compensation Management or Training and Event Management 

Use

This function allows you to include the plan data created in Personnel Cost Planning and Simulation in the budget created for Compensation Management or Training and Event Management.

Prerequisites

You have created personnel cost plans.

You have created a budget structure. For more information, see Maintaining a Budget Structure (for Compensation Management) and Creating a Budget Structure (for Training and Event Management).

SAP also recommends you release the plan data before you transfer it to Compensation Management or Training and Event Managementent.

Features

You can select particular cost items that are to be included when the budget is created.

Note that the amounts displayed in Compensation Management and Training and Event Management after the plan data has been transferred have been rolled up according to the budget structure. Consequently, if you use these amounts to create a total, this total usually exceeds the overall budget.

You cannot compare these amounts directly with the amounts displayed for the relevant cost objects in Personnel Cost Planning and Simulation. To compare these amounts directly, you must display the actual budget available for each budget unit in Compensation Management or Training and Event Management.

Activities

Using Plan Data in Compensation Management

...

       1.      On the SAP Easy Access screen, choose Human Resources ® Personnel Management ® Compensation Management ® Budgeting ® Administration ® Change.

       2.      On the budgeting initial screen, enter a budget type and select Goto ® Data Transfer.

The selection screen for the Data Transfer to Budgeting from Other Applications program is displayed.

       3.      Enter the necessary data and under Budget Determination enter Personnel Cost Planning as the basis for data.

       4.      Choose Parameters and select the relevant personnel cost plan. If necessary, restrict the data transfer to specific cost items.

       5.      Execute the program.

The system displays the plan data transferred from Personnel Cost Planning and Simulation as budget values for the budget units.

Using Plan Data in Training and Event Management

...

       1.      On the SAP Easy Access screen, choose Human Resources ® Training and Event Management ® Business Events ® Budget ® Budgeting.

       2.      On the budgeting initial screen, choose Goto ® Data Transfer.

The selection screen for the Data Transfer to Budgeting from Other Applications program is displayed.

       3.      Proceed as outlined in steps three to five under Using Plan Data in Compensation Management.
