Procedure documentation Generating Measurements Locate the document in its SAP Library structure

Use

After you have specified the agents to be measured and the measurement methods, generate the planned number of measurements for each measurement method in the next step. Generation takes place at measurement project level, that is in one run for all planned measurement methods.

Prerequisites

You can store an enhancement function in Customizing for checking and formatting the measurement key using a user exit (MJH_SCATCH; MJID). For more information, see the documentation for the user exit function module CBIH_LB62_MJID_CHECK. For general information on user exits, see the Implementation Guide (IMG) for Basic Data and Tools under Manage User Exits.

This procedure describes the generation of measurements as it is performed in the standard system.

Note

After the measurements are generated, you can no longer edit the planned agents and the measurement methods at work area level.

If more measurements were performed for a measurement method in the course of the project than you originally planned, you can add these measurements to the project manually later (see Adding Measurements).

If other agents were measured in a measurement for a measurement method, you can add these agents manually when you enter the measured values (see Entering Analysis Results and Measured Values).

Procedure

...

       1.      In the navigation area, click your measurement project and choose This graphic is explained in the accompanying text Measurement.

The system generates the required number of measurements according to the number of day and night measurements you planned for each measurement method. If, for example, you planned three day measurements and two night measurements, the system generates a total of five measurements. The keys for the measurements are assigned by the system as sequential numbers.

The generated measurements appear in the navigation area below the work areas they belong to. The data for the first measurement is displayed in the application area.

       2.      In the application area for the displayed measurement, specify the measurement type, for example, Person-related measurement or Fixed-location measurement.

       3.      Adjust the data for the cost center, measurement duration, and sampling location if necessary.

If you do not have this data available at the time you generate the measurements, you can enter it later when you enter the measurement data (see Adding Measurement Data and Entering Tasks).

       4.      Repeat steps 2. and 3. for all measurements and save your entries.
