Planning Agents and Measurement
Methods
This procedure describes how you plan agents and measurement methods for the work areas for which you want to perform measurements in your measurement project. You must carry out planning for each work area for which you want to perform measurements. The system requires the information to then generate the measurements.
You can select the agents using a search, enter them directly, or transfer them from the exposure profile of the respective work area. For the transfer function from the exposure profile you can create an enhancement in Customizing via a Business Add-In (BAdI). For more information, see BAdI: Import of Exposure Profile in the Implementation Guide (IMG) for Industrial Hygiene and Safety. This procedure relates to the default coding of the BAdI supplied with the standard system.
...
1. In the navigation area of your measurement project, click the work area you want to plan for, and choose the Agents tab page in the application area.
2.
On the tab page, enter the
agents you want to measure. To use the transfer function from the exposure profile, choose
All
Agents.
3. For the agents you want to be measured, set the M indicator (agent to be measured).
If you have created the measurement project as a follow-on project, agents may already be planned for which the M indicator is set.
4. Specify the measurement method and determination type (for example, Direct) for each agent. For agents for which you have stored a measurement method and a determination type in the specification database, the values are already displayed.
For indirect determination types, you must also specify a reference agent. Note that you must have already included this reference agent in your planning as an agent to be measured directly.

You can create an enhancement for the input help of the measurement method using a BAdI. For more information, see BAdI: Input Help for Measurement Method in the (IMG) for Industrial Hygiene and Safety.
5. Save your entries and go to the Measurement Method tab page.
On this tab page, the measurement methods are listed for the agents for which you set the M indicator.
6. For each measurement method, enter the number of day and night measurements to be performed. If required, you can also enter the sampling location for each measurement method as a user-defined text.
7. Save your entries.
