Procedure documentation Classifying Recipes Locate the document in its SAP Library structure

Use

You can group recipes according to self-defined criteria by assigning similar recipes to the same class and assigning recipe-specific values to the class characteristics. When you enter recipe editing, you can then search for and load the recipes according to the classes and their characteristics.

Prerequisites

You have created the classes required for recipe classification in the classification system. These classes have been assigned to class type 053, PVS nodes. Characteristics for typical recipe attributes have been assigned to the classes.

Note

Recipe management only supports date validity of engineering change management (see Recipe Editing With Change Master Records). For this reason, do not use classes and characteristics with parameter effectivity for classification. Classification is not historical. Classifications apply for all change states, that is, if you change the classification of a change state, you change the classification of all change states of the recipe.
