Use

Use this procedure to define the basic parameters of an action.

Procedure

...

       1.      Open the gallery and choose Create Action from the contextual navigation panel.

The action’s design time opens.

       2.      Enter the required data as follows:

Parameter

Description

Name

Enter an arbitrary name for the action.

Recommendation

Use a comprehensible name because it is used to identify the action in the GP runtime as well.

Description

Enter a brief description for the action – for example, describe what it does.

Original Language

From the drop-down menu list select the language, in which the action definition is created. The original language is considered for translation purposes. For more information, see Internationalization.

Folder

By default, either the Root folder is displayed, or a folder that you have selected before creating the action.

To select another folder from the gallery where the action is to be stored, use Change.

       3.      To complete the procedure, choose This graphic is explained in the accompanying text (Save).

Result

You have created the action object. To be able to activate and use it in a process, you must attach callable objects to it. For more information, see Attaching Callable Objects.
