Starting (Initiating) a New
Process 
The process template is already activated. For more information, see Activating Guided Procedures Content.
Procedure to Start a Process

1. In the GP work center, choose You Can ® Start New Process. The Initiate Process view is displayed. |
Select template |
2. Select the process template to be initiated. 3. Choose Next. |
Fill parameters |
4. Assign values to the individual parameters of the process template.
This step is only available if you defined this in the design time during creation of the process template. 5. Choose Next. |
Assign process roles |
6. Assign each of the following process roles to a user: a. Administrator b. Owner c. Overseer d. All other customized process roles previously created during the creation of the process template.
This step is only available if you defined this in the design time during creation of the process template. For more information, see Process Role Configuration. 7. Choose Next. |
Set deadlines |
8. Change the due date configuration if needed.
This step is only available if you checked Allow changes on instantiation in the design time during creation of the process template. For more information, see Defining Due Date Handling. 9. Choose Next. |
Edit basic data |
10. You can determine the following basic data of the future process: a. Initiator b. Process Title
This step is only available if you defined this in the design time during creation of the process template. |
Initiate process template |
11. Choose Initiate. |
You have made a new process available for the runtime. Whether the process is now started automatically or manually by you during your further work flow, depends on whether you set the Process is started automatically indicator when you created the process template (see also Creating Process Templates).
