Setting Disposal Document
Statuses
This procedure describes how you set a status for a disposal document.

The system sets the following statuses automatically:
· When you create a disposal document, the system sets the status NEW (Created).
· When you print a disposal document, the system sets the status PRN (Printed).
·
When you
execute the return date check
function (
), the system sets the
status TOUT (Timeout) for all disposal documents for which the return-within period
has been exceeded.
·
When you
execute the quantity
check function (
), the system sets the status ABERR (Quantity
variance) for all disposal documents for which the waste quantity entered by
the waste generator in the disposal document (outgoing quantity) differs from the waste quantity confirmed by the
waste disposer (quantity disposed of).
·
When you cancel a
disposal document (
), the system
sets the status CAN (Canceled).
In Customizing for Waste Management, you specify under Specify Field Control for Each Disposal Doc. Type and Status the ready-for-input status of the fields that are available to you on the tab pages and screen areas for entering data for disposal documents. You can specify that the ready-for-input status depends, for example, on the disposal document status. This means you can specify, for example, that certain fields are no longer ready for input after a disposal document has a particular status.
· In Customizing for Waste Management, you have processed the IMG activity Specify Processing Status for Disposal Documents. You specify there, among other things, which status can follow which status.
· You are authorized to edit the status field. In standard Customizing, it is specified in the IMG activity Specify Field Control for Each Disposal Doc. Type and Status that you require special authorization to edit this field.
· You have executed the procedure Editing Disposal Documents for the required disposal document and are on the Create Disposal Documents or Change Disposal Documents screen.
...
1. Choose the Status tab page.
2. In the Dispos. doc. status field, enter the required status and save your entry.

Note the following when you set a status:
· If you set the status CAN and the disposal document contains a waste approval, a waste code, and a waste quantity, the waste quantity is deducted from the quantity disposed of in the waste approval (see Automatic Quantity Update).
· If you want to use a disposal document as a template, set the status TEMPL (Templates). Only the status NEW (Created) is defined as a permitted subsequent status for this status in the standard system. This means that you cannot, for example, print or confirm disposal documents in the status TEMPL.
You can also set the following statuses by choosing the corresponding function in the application toolbar. You do not need authorization to edit the status field:
|
Function (Quick Info) |
Status Set |

PRF (Printing failed) |

|
ROUTE (Delivered) |

|
RET (Returned) |

|
COMPL (Data complete) |

CHK (Confirmed) |
|
|
ARCH (Stored) |
As standard, these functions only set the specified status. If you want certain checks to be run, for example, when you execute a function, you can specify a function module for the functions that carry out these checks under Disposal Documents ® Specify Functions in Customizing for Waste Management.
The disposal document is assigned the specified status and is displayed below the corresponding node in the overview tree.

A node is only displayed in the overview tree if the user is authorized to display disposal documents in the corresponding status.
