Definition

A document on which data can be output from the SAP Environment, Health and Safety component and other SAP components.

A report is generated from a report template with the help of a report generation variant.

Use

You can create documents that you require for industrial hygiene and safety purposes. These documents include:

·        Standard operating procedures

·        Accident reports such as OSHA 301 (United States)

Integration

The report creation process is divided into two parts:

·        Creating a report template

·        Generating a report

The following table shows which SAP components you require in addition to Industrial Hygiene and Safety to create reports:

Using the report information system you generate the reports and trigger report shipping. You will find application examples under:

Caution

When it generates the report, the report information system reads the information from the generation variant and the template, as well as the current data for the relevant reference object (such as an incident/accident log entry) and displays it on the local front end. You can print the document created in this way, but the addresses of the recipients are not entered until the document is shipped. This means the document is not complete (final report) until the shipping order is created.

Ship report

Report Shipping (EHS-SAF-RSH)

You can navigate from the report information system directly to report shipping and create a shipping order manually. This creates the final report. For more information, see Structure linkReport Shipping in the Product Safety (EHS-SAF) component.

Archive final report

The data for the reports that exist as examples in the standard system is archived after shipping by saving the values for the parameter symbols in the report shipping order (see Report Archiving).
