Definition
The examination of available information such as measured values, using defined methods for identifying and rating the risk potential caused by an agent in a work area.
Use
You can examine the agents that you determined in a work area using standardized analysis methods.
In each analysis, you assign a
rating. This rating is then included in the calculation of the main rating.Structure
The standard system contains the following analysis methods:
If you want to use other analysis methods in addition to these, you can create up to ten of your own additional analysis methods. To do this, you will need to create a customer structure and a function group for the analysis method, and make the necessary adjustments in Customizing for Industrial Hygiene and Safety. For more information, see Create Analysis Methods in Customizing for Industrial Hygiene and Safety.
Which analysis methods are available for examining an agent depends on the agent type and is a predefined setting in Customizing. You make the system settings in Customizing for Industrial Hygiene and Safety in the IMG activity Assign Analysis Methods to Agent Types. If you do not assign an analysis method to an agent type here, the default analysis method set by the environment parameter IHS_ANALYSIS_DEFAULT is used. In the standard system, the default analysis method is Comparison with Standardized Criteria.
